The opening hole is a 280 yard par 4 with tree lined rough, fairway bunkers 60 yards short of the green on each side, and a front to back sloping green guarded the right and rear by bunkers. The conservative play is a mid-iron off the tee leaving around 100 yards or less. The aggressive player can hit driver taking the ultimate path to risk/reward by either starting one under or two over.
