Kishwaukee Country Club is a 120-year old private, member-owned club nestled inside a tree-lined perimeter and features the flowing Kishwaukee River that runs through the property. Our new and updated clubhouse opened in 2017 with dining, a pro shop, cart and club storage along with other amenities.

Golf

The original nine-hole course was developed by noted golf course architect Thomas Bendelow. Bendelow was a prolific course designer with over 600 courses (many famous) designed during the early 1900s. He is often described as the “Johnny Appleseed” of golf course design. Later, the club chose David Gill to create plans for an additional nine holes on 75 acres of land. Today, the club has 18 beautiful and challenging holes of golf. The course features tree-lined, narrow fairways with strategically placed bunkers and modestly sized greens. Water hazards can be found on numerous holes with the Kishwaukee River and a creek flowing through the course. With changes in the weather and wind direction, the course provides plenty of variety and a continuous challenge to our members and their guests. Our course requires accuracy off the tee and demands precise approach shots and strong short-game skills.

Throughout its history, Kishwaukee Country Club has hosted numerous tournaments, including the Illinois Senior Open, collegiate tournaments, U.S. Open qualifying for both men and women, Lincoln Highway tournaments for men and women, junior high school regional and sectional tournaments, interclub leagues and more.

Club Social Events

Perhaps one of the best attributes of our club is its reputation for being welcoming and inclusive. We host numerous bashes throughout the year for our members including events such as wine dinners, couples golf (“Nine, Wine and Dine”), live music, grill nights, an Easter brunch and egg hunt, Mother’s Day luncheon and brunch with Santa. Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day weekends offer something for everyone in the family including pool activities, BBQs, golf events and entertainment.

Dining

The new clubhouse features a dining area—The Brothers Lounge—a golf shop, locker rooms, offices and basement cart/bag storage. Our outdoor patio overlooks the picturesque golf course and has a fire table and fire pits. Dining and bar service is provided indoors and on the patio.

Swimming

The outdoor swimming pool is a welcome respite from the Midwest summer heat and humidity. The pool area features a diving board, a fenced-off kiddie pool, several covered cabanas and plenty of space to stretch out and relax, whether you’re looking for a spot in the sun or shade. Many families enjoy afternoons around the pool, choosing to grab a snack from the quick-service pool menu or enjoy a full meal from the regular dining menu. The pool also offers a wide range of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Locker rooms equipped with showers are also on site. The staff is always eager to assist in any way they can, understanding they are part of both your safety and enjoyment at the pool.

Court Sports

The Club offers members access to courts for tennis and pickleball. The outdoor physical exercise and social experience is a welcome benefit to club membership. It’s the perfect environment for a leisurely game or to introduce your children to outdoor tennis or pickleball. Come play for fun or a competitive match.
